Simon Jones at the wheel of his Rent-A-Wreck on the way to New York. So many times before I have been so close to New York City but never actually been there. I have landed at JFK airport and stood in the lounge at Newark airport looking out over the Manhattan skyline, but never had I actually been to 'the big apple'.

This time New York was not going to elude me again. Despite it being a five hour drive away, I was not going to miss out again. Anne and I jumped into my 'rent-a-wreck' rental car and headed south to the Big Apple scanning the radio, chatting and finding time to record soundites along the way.
